Frequently Asked Questions
What is your turn around time?
After your order has been placed and payment has been made, we will then design a copy or proof(s) of your sign. We will email or fax the proof(s) to you for your review and ok, or to finalize any changes that need to be made. Once you are satisfied with the design of your proof, you may email back or call us with your approval for the signs to go into print production. Production is 1-5 business days. We usually ship within our normal 7 business days or faster after receiving your signed copy of the return proof(s). If you need your signs sooner, please let us know in advance so we can do everything possible to expedite your order. There may be an upcharge for rush orders needed in less than our normal processing time of 5 days. We ship UPS or Fedex ground. Other options are available. UPS will not deliver to a U.S. P.O. Box.
What are payment methods?
We accept Master Card, Visa, Discover, Money Order, and Paypal. Once order and payment has been received and processed we can begin making proofs and production on signs.
What is flute direction?
You have the option of choosing which way the flutes runs. Flutes are the channels that run inside corrugated boards. Horizontal flutes will not work with wire stakes. We print sings for use on metal stakes and wood stakes horizontal (left to right) and poles. Vertical flutes allow you to use metal stakes that insert directly into the sign and can be easily place into the ground.
Can I Mix different layout Designs with my order?
Most of the cost in screen-printing is pre-press. Each design change, copy change or color requires it's own layout or stencil. Each design also requires a separate screen to be burned then registered on the press and printed. Once the printing is over there is clean up and reclaiming of the screen. In order to mix 4 designs (25 signs each) to come up with a 100 sign minimum it takes 3 times the labor, time, and materials as it would to print 100 of the same design. This is why the fewer signs per design you order, the more the price per sign.
If you check with your local sign company, you will find prices starting at $25-40 per sign for less than 25 signs. This is because it is cheaper to machine cut and hand apply vinyl lettering on signs when working with small quantities. However the labor and time factor is much longer, therefore resulting in high prices for fewer signs.
Should I add Phone Numbers & Web Addresses?
In order to get your contact information as big and bold as possible we do not print the "1" in front of your phone number or put your area code in parentheses unless required. It is common knowledge to dial "1" before a long distance or 800 number. If your prospect forgets - a recording will tell them to do so. The sign is easier to read and can be seen at a greater distance with larger letters. The brain also assimilates the information easier and quicker. Remember….Your prospect may only have a few seconds to view your sign when at a stop sign or stop light. Let your sign bring in the leads and let the selling be done on the other end. In other words try to keep your message short and simple.
When it comes to web address, consider leaving off the "www." and capitalizing the first letter in each word in your web address. This allows us to get your address bigger and bolder. Putting "www." Is like the "1" in front of your phone number. Web browsers are no longer case sensitive. In addition larger fonts allow the eye to decipher and the brain to retain the info much easier.
